Not only may the drawings printed on the front and back of the shirt can be printed on the sleeves too. The method is to use a scraper to push the ink through a screen plastisol. The screen must be prepared before any printing can take place. This is accomplished by coating the screen with a thickness of the emulsion and let dry. (plastisol individually formulated to work well with a variety of fabrics, each garment so that product quality will be higher.) Once the screen is completely dry (with the printing of the image) are placed on a table and exposed to high light intensity. It will actually burn the image on the screen. Then, the emulsion solution is rinsed away with a pressure washer, leaving the design on the screen. The printing process starts. Of course, these customers have the opportunity to make your own, too. It is cheaper to have a design printed on a t-shirt light color on dark background. This is because dark colored clothing will need a base coat of white ink, before any additional inks can be applied. This is to avoid mixing colors together. Another reason for the extra expense that costs more than the shirt manufacturers to produce garments dark. With proper care, a T-shirt screen printing will last for years. There are even cases where the design takes longer than the actual shirt. Typically, washing machine and dryer, then the shirt (inside low temperature) works best.
